Where would we be without Texans to stand in the gap for families? Without fail, every legislative session there is at least one bill filed in the Texas legislature that would negatively impact the rights of Texas families—sometimes so severely that it’s hard to believe that it could be brought to a vote in the first place.

If it weren’t for the hard work and diligence of the THSC Watchmen, these bills might have passed.

Who are the THSC Watchmen?

The THSC Watchmen are a team of homeschool graduates who serve as legislative analysts and lobbyists for Texas’ homeschool families. Every single legislative session, the THSC Watchmen work tirelessly to protect the rights of homeschool families.

The THSC Watchmen program allows homeschool graduates to gain real-life experience and develop critical thinking skills while protecting the freedoms of Texas families to educate their children the way they see fit.

In addition to protecting the rights of homeschooling families, serving on the THSC Watchmen team allows homeschool graduates to:

  • Develop critical thinking skills
  • Practice professional writing
  • Gain invaluable job experience
  • Learn to organize and strategize
  • Apply their skills to real-life situations
