Get excited! The first paid THSC Capitol Field Trip happens next Thursday, March 2nd, and it’s going to be great! The policy team is ecstatic at the chance to meet all of the amazing homeschool families, groups, and individuals who are registered to attend!

The paid Field Trip will give everyone involved a taste of what lobbying at the capitol every day is really like. The event will provide a memorable experience for all children, teens, parents, and grandparents, so bring the whole family! Find out what daily life at the Texas State Capitol looks like for the THSC lobbyists, and put everything you learn into practice!

Can’t come next week? Don’t worry! We will be hosting another paid Field Trip day on April 5th, or you can register as an independent lobbyist and complete the Field Trip on your own time.

The independent field trip track is a free, online option that provides you with videos on how the Texas legislature works, 1-pagers on bills critical to THSC’s mission, and explanations on how to properly lobby and meet with your legislators!

Once you have access to the online content, you can rest assured that you are well prepared to visit the Texas Capitol anytime you wish to while still getting a taste of the lobbying experience.

Coming next week? That’s awesome! We cannot wait to see everyone and begin the amazing experience to follow!

Questions? Please reach out to us via email at Policy@THSC.org.

Registration? Registration is open for the March 2nd event through Monday, February 27th, at midnight. If you can’t catch this event, you are welcome to register for the April 5th event! Otherwise, please take advantage of the free materials by registering as an independent lobbyist.
