The Richard Wallrath Educational Foundation, through a partnership with the Texas Home School Coalition, is providing $10,000 college scholarships to students in the homeschool community!
At THSC, we know that no single educational path is right for everyone. Some students will join the workforce straight out of high school, while some will attend a technical school or start their own business. However, for those that feel called to pursue higher education, THSC and the Richard Wallrath Educational Foundation (RWEF) want to help.
About the Richard Wallrath Educational Foundation:
Since 2006, the Richard Wallrath Educational Foundation has awarded 1,400 scholarships, totaling $14 million dollars to deserving students through partnerships with other organizations.
“Dick Wallrath doesn’t believe in giving something for nothing. What he does believe in is giving opportunities. That’s why the foundation gives college scholarships to deserving young people. It’s money they can put with a lot of hard work to make something out of themselves. It’s teaching a man to fish, so to speak.
‘When you give a child an education,’ Dick says, ‘you give them something no one can steal. You can make their dreams come true. They can go and do something with their life.’”
At THSC, we could not agree more. That’s why we are so passionate about providing homeschooling resources, fighting for parental rights, and making homeschooling possible for as many families as possible.
The Richard Wallrath Educational Foundation (RWEF) is partnering with THSC to extend those opportunities to the homeschooling community. What does a Richard Wallrath Education Foundation Scholarship provided through the Texas Homeschool Coalition look like?

THE PATRICK HENRY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP
More Information:
THSC firmly believes in empowering families with the resources that their children need, even after graduation from their homeschool. Whether by vocational training, the military, joining the workforce or applying to college, THSC wants to see homeschool graduates succeed!
One great resource provided by THSC is the Patrick Henry College Scholarship. Each year, THSC awards scholarships for Texas homeschool graduates applying to Patrick Henry College (PHC)!
These scholarships have helped homeschool graduates pay for their education at PHC, a school that is renewing the love of learning which many institutions seem to have lost.
How the PHC Scholarship Helped Elizabeth
Elizabeth Russell was awarded THSC’s Patrick Henry College Scholarship in 2018. That was one of the main factors that led her to attend PHC.
“Receiving the THSC scholarship to Patrick Henry College was one of the deciding factors that led to my choosing to attend college there. I am immensely grateful for it. The scholarship money itself was important, but the whole process involved, like getting to discuss PHC with Mr. George Clay (who is on the scholarship committee), encouraged me and aided me in my decision.
I’m so glad that the Lord led me to choose PHC. I have been stunned by the amount of personal love and care I receive from my professors, the spiritual growth I’ve experienced so far, and the sweetness of community here. I’m looking forward to continued opportunities for learning and growth in my next three years at PHC!”
Are you applying to attend PHC in Fall 2024? Apply for THSC’s scholarship today and you could win $1,000, $2,000 or $3,000 to help with your tuition! Be sure to apply soon—the deadline is March 15, 2024. Scholarship recipients will be notified by March 31, 2024!
