Digital Media Manager

Passionate about homeschooling and have proven success in digital media? THSC seeks an experienced and results-oriented digital team manager to lead our organization in website administration, email list management, Google suite and organization cyber security.

Responsibilities:

Team Management

  • Administrer the business of the digital team from one weekly meeting
  • Conduct one on one meetings with team members
  • Prepare, administer and implement the digital team budget, including personnel budget
  • Recruit, hire and manage digital team members
  • Recruit and manage volunteers
  • Work with a core team of editors, writers, and other staff members to ensure that THSC’s website is error-free and professional
  • Manage task assignment for team
  • Manage personnel issues for team
  • Report team executive summaries
  • Bring proposals and implement solutions related to the continual improvement of digital team processes
  • Bring proposals and implement solutions for better and more mission delivery, increased revenue for THSC
  • Ensure team stays up to date on current technologies
  • Apply new technologies to the work of the team to enhance team effectiveness
  • Ensure digital processes are up to date and new processes are created as needed and in a timely manner
  • Fill in for team members in absences or emergencies to ensure all digital team work is complete as assigned and scheduled.
  • Travel twice a year to attend overnight organization-wide training

Manage Email Communication

  • Prepare and send regular emails to specific audiences
  • Build banners and graphics for e-communications as needed
  • Build HTML templates for MailChimp and CiviCRM for administrative emails
  • Prepare data mail merges from CRM
  • Produce stats on emails as needed
  • Maintain Audience, groups and tags

Manage YouTube Content

  • Upload provided videos
  • Optimize YouTube content for SEO

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Managerial or personnel supervision
  • Website administration or development experience, please include URLs in resume or cover letter
  • Marketing background with demonstrated results

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform all responsibilities proficiently
  • WordPress admin proficiency
  • Basic HTML. Some knowledge of other programming languages preferred but not required
  • Email marketing software (MailChimp preferred)
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets
  • Proficiency with YouTube channel management
  • Knowledge SEO best practice
  • Photoshop proficiency
  • Knowledge of best practice in cyber and website security for small businesses
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics

Sales Manager Job Description

Passionate about homeschooling and have proven sales success? THSC seeks an experienced and results-oriented part-time sales manager to lead our team in connecting family-oriented product and service advertisers to the Texas homeschool community. 

Responsibilities:

  • Meet personal sales goals by established deadlines in support of meeting team budget goals
  • Coach team members to successfully meet their sales goals in support of team budget goals
  • Supervise THSC sales team, conducting regular team meetings and 1:1 meetings with sales representatives
  • In conjunction with supervisor and THSC administrative staff, set annual budgets and ensure the team meets budgeted revenue goals in a timely manner, and that within the team, each member meets their own goals
  • In conjunction with supervisor and THSC administrative staff, set, implement and report on sales team SMART goals
  • Direct and supervise development of sales programs and supporting documents such as team processes, annual media kit, annual sponsorship kit(s) and advertiser promotions and communication with advertisers, etc.
  • Complete, or delegate and supervise, administrative tasks, research, and special projects as assigned, using Google Suite, Asana, SalesForce, Civi, etc.
  • Expediently invoice and pursue collection of advertising revenues
  • Participate in regular team meetings and one on one meetings with supervisors
  • Attend THSC “All Staff Advance” meetings (2 per year) and managers’ meetings, as required
  • Comply with THSC policies as explained in the THSC Employee Manual
  • Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred
  • Two-plus years of proven success in professional sales
  • Managerial or personnel supervision
