The Business Development Intern will be a driving force within our sales outreach. Primary responsibilities will be to identify and build a pipeline of customers and business opportunities, establish new prospective client relationships, and drive new revenue for the organization.
- Identify, generate, and prospecting potential partnerships, sponsors, and memberships through electronic, verbal, and in person communication
- Networking with existing contacts to identify and gain introductions to expand our current network

The Customer Relations Intern will play a vital role in the successful organization of the team. Primary responsibilities will include updating member information, team collaboration, and research.

- Assist in repairing links in documents, portal, and website
- Add and update information in Zoho CRM
- Assign inquiries (emails, voicemails) to appropriate specialist or department

The Events Intern, you will play a vital role in the successful execution of our events, with a focus on the behind-the-scenes and administrative work it takes to run multiple events.
- Assist in preparation and organization of the exhibit hall for events
- Provide exceptional customer service to event attendees, exhibitors, and participants
- Maintain and organize the Events Google Drive, ensuring files, documents, and resources are properly categorized and easily accessible to team members
- Participate in event planning meetings and take detailed notes on discussions, action items, and decisions made
- Prepare comprehensive meeting minutes and distribute them to the team in a clear and concise meeting recap email
Marketing

The Marketing team is searching for a creative and detail oriented individual with a flair for design and organization. With the weekly team and direct report meetings, we navigate creating marketing campaigns for membership, events, legal/policy efforts, and organizational partners.
- Help with drafting content for email newsletters, social media posts, and other marketing materials
- Engage with members, collaborate with the team, and participate in weekly meetings
- Draft communications with attention to detail to ensure clarity and professionalism
- Use creative thinking for coming up with new marketing ideas, social media campaigns, and engaging content that can attract and retain members
- Use graphic design platforms, such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator, for creating social media content or marketing collateral
- Create visually appealing materials for promotional purposes
Policy

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Policy Intern to help join our dynamic team. As a Policy Intern, you will play a vital role in our legislative, political, and election efforts.
- Maintain and nurture the relationships with government, associated authorities, and all committees by legislatively representing and protecting THSC’s interests
- Work often with outside groups to collect, garner and disseminate homeschool information
- Attend two department meetings the first week of each month to fully internalize the entire mission and vision of THSC
- Assist efforts to strategize, plan, and execute goals
- Help to coordinate THSC’s efforts for candidate endorsements
- Help coordinate the content for robo calls, statewide texts, emails, endorsements, press releases, and social media ads
Technology
Technology
We understand how challenging it can be to jump into a tech stack and see the structure of an organization from the back end. Our team is excited to help you along the way to work together to grow your skills and service this great organization. This internship will help to stabilize the structure of THSC ultimately benefiting homeschool families across Texas.
- Train chatbots for our various sites built on ChatGPT
- Correct Payment Processor anomalies and misalignments
- Evaluate and Vet current and new platforms for sustainability, scalability, and usability
- Deliver front end website updates like text edits, blog post build outs, and ad updates
- Clean up current platforms, repairing broken web links, and resolving duplicate data points
- Run reports servicing departments across the organization
