Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Does my registration cover shopping and workshops?
Exhibit Hall admittance is included with General Admission, Teen, Pre-Teen, and Children’s Program Registrations. Attendees with General Admission Registrations do not need to purchase a Shopping Only Pass to enjoy the Exhibit Hall. Shopping Only Passes include admittance into the Exhibit Hall only and do not include admittance to workshops.
Do I have to pre-register for the specific workshops I want to attend?
No. General Admission Registration includes admittance into all workshops and the Exhibit Hall. All workshops are first-come, first-seated and will be open as long as space lasts. Some workshops will fill up completely. For best results, plan ahead and arrive early. Workshop recordings will be available for purchase on-site.
When/how will I get my Add-On tickets?
All Add-On tickets will be available for pick up onsite during check in. Links to complimentary coupons and discounts will be posted on the THSC Convention website.
When will the Convention schedule be posted?
Scheduled workshops will be added to our Workshops page as they become available. Workshop times will be posted by mid-April, after THSC has compiled the attendee preferences and planned room assignments to best accommodate attendees.
Which adults may attend free?
One spouse or grandparent may attend free with the first adult General Admission Registration.
What if I need to cancel my Convention registration?
We do not offer refunds, just as if you had purchased tickets to a concert or ball game. You may transfer your registration to one other person or family for a $10 fee until April 22, 2016. After April 22, 2016, no registrations may be transferred. If you wish to transfer your registration to another person or family, please email email@example.com with the transferee name, phone number, email, and credit card payment information.
Large Family Discount
If you are registering more than 4 family members for children, pre-teen, teen, or Special Buddies programs, each additional child will be FREE! Discounts will appear on your registration form, no special codes needed!
We honor our military families! If you have served or are currently serving our country in the U.S. Armed Forces, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for a special discount code that will entitle you to receive a 50% discount on all adult and children registrations. Discounts do not apply to add-on tickets.
Nursing Mothers Room
For your convenience and privacy, a Nursing Mothers Room will be provided. Nursing mothers are encouraged to be discreet or to take advantage of the unstaffed Nursing Mothers Room.
THSC, with counsel from law enforcement professionals, has a plan to ensure that Convention attendees are free to enjoy the weekend in a pleasant environment.
- Disruptive attendees within the conference will be promptly escorted out.
- Additional security measures have been initiated to provide for attendee peace of mind.
- Security measures are in place at the Kids Convention, Special Buddies, and Preteen Programs location.
Strollers are not allowed in any of the Workshops. Small, single strollers and rolling carts are permitted in the Exhibit Hall. Side-by-side strollers and wagons are prohibited due to space constraints. Umbrella strollers are available to borrow at the Information Booth. If you feel you have a special circumstance that requires this type of stroller, you may email email@example.com to explain your situation and request a special exception.
THSC works hard to make the Convention affordable. We do not want anyone to be unable to attend due to financial hardship. Become a Convention Volunteer and take advantage of discounts on your favorite programs.
Workshops are first-come, first-seated. Some workshops will fill up, so make sure to plan ahead for the best seating! You may need to arrive 30 minutes before popular workshops begin. All sessions are professionally recorded and available for purchase onsite and online after the Convention. Audio recording by attendees is not allowed.
Fussy or crying babies/children are required to be immediately removed from any speaking session or from the Exhibit Hall. If a child is disruptive, the parent is expected to, and may be asked to, leave the Workshop/Exhibit Hall to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the Convention.
Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied at all times by one of their own parents, and parents assume all responsibility for their children and their behavior.
