Intervention Information and Instructions

Before completing a policy request or intervention request, please read the following:

  1. Be sure to fill out all information completely and accurately and to provide all background information related to your situation. Incorrect or incomplete information could delay your request. If you discover an error after submission, please email intervention@thsc.org.
  2. Intervention requests should be submitted when the member has an active conflict with a government agency or other third party related to homeschool laws.
  3. Policy requests are for general questions to our policy team related to questions about THSC advocacy or homeschool laws if the THSC customer relations team does not have the information to assist you. If you are involved in an active conflict between your family and a government agency or third party; use a member intervention intake.
  4. Special needs intakes are managed by our special needs team which may include assistance from our partner, SPED Homeschool.  This is for questions related to concerns when homeschooling your special needs child.  A privacy release must be signed and uploaded for this intake.  Please allow at least 3 days for a response from our special needs team. If you are involved in an active conflict between your family and a government agency or third party; use a member intervention intake.
  5. Please note that you may be required to fill out privacy release forms or affidavits of compliance with Texas homeschool law before an official intervention can be completed.

Please select the type of assistance you are in need of and complete the appropriate form. Please be sure to upload supporting documents. The upload button permits multiple uploads; documents should be in the same folder on your device for multiple uploads. Use shift+click for a sequence of documents, or ctrl+click, for non-sequential documents.

THSC intervention intake options:

THSC attempts to intervene on your behalf, whenever possible, however, there may be some situations in which we are unable to intervene on behalf of a member. Occasionally our interventions can make certain situations more complicated, and in these cases, our interventions would not be beneficial. THSC reserves the right to deny intervention to any member for any reason. These are a member benefit and are not intended for use by families without a current THSC membership.

Membership must be current, and the member must be in good standing. Members must have at least one successfully posted annual payment or two sequential installments of a quarterly membership. For members that pay quarterly, with only one successful payment, an annual membership may be started, and we can turn off the auto-renewal for the quarterly membership payments. Legal assistance is not retroactive, particularly CPS interventions. Member should have a current membership in place prior to the need for intervention.  We apologize, but pre-existing issues are not covered by a THSC membership for interventions requiring an attorney consultation.
