Homeschool Community Calendar

Texas Homeschool Community Calendar

The THSC Event Calendar is a free service to homeschoolers in Texas. We hope you like it. It is designed to help homeschooling families, friends, and support groups take advantage of educational opportunities of interest to you.

For event sponsors: Your event venue must be in Texas and have a specific appeal to homeschoolers. All submissions are moderated by THSC. If you don’t see your event posted three business days after submission, please contact the Moderator at staff@thsc.org. Thank you for your submissions and interest in supporting Texas home schoolers.

Click on the “Events in” button to select a particular month to view. Click the “View as” button to view events by month or as a list.

Note: Please do not list events that run for extended periods. Events running for more than 3 – 5 days (depending on event), will be edited or will not be published. If you would like to promote a long-running event, such as a class or a camp, please list the opening and closing dates for registration or enrollment separately. The recommendation for actual class dates is that they should be listed in the event description, not in the date field.

The Clean Tech Competition is a worldwide research and design challenge for 15-18 year old pre-college youth that encourages scientific understanding of real-world issues and the integration of environmentally responsible energy sources. Each year, the Clean Tech Competition addresses an issue grounded in core technological competency areas and focuses on the next great engineering challenges. For 2020, that challenge is Reducing Individual Impacts, whether they be in areas with Abundant Resources, or Limited Resources. Contestants work in teams of 1-3, where they research a specific solution to this problem, and then submit papers to be judges by an international team of industry professionals and university instructors. The 2020 Finals event is set to be held on July 2nd in Washington, D.C. where Finalist teams will present their constructed prototypes and research as they vie for the $10,000 per category grand prizes.
