Congratulations to Belinda LeBlanc
(2018 South Texas Leader of the Year)
By: Valerie Bolieu and Belinda LeBlanc
I am pleased to announce the 2018 South Texas Leader of the Year: Belinda LeBlanc! THSC received many nominations for Belinda LeBlanc, leader of the FAITH Association of Homeschoolers in Clear Lake, Texas. The FAITH members shared many stories about Belinda’s kindness and leadership skills, especially after Hurricane Harvey, how she goes above and beyond to help others. It is easy to see why she was selected for this award.
Meet Belinda LeBlanc!
We started our homeschooling journey later than many. My older daughter went to public school through the sixth grade. As my younger daughter approached the age to start kindergarten, I wanted a different experience for her. God showed us that homeschooling was not only an option, but it was the direction He desired for our family. He also lead us to an amazing homeschool co-op to help us in our journey. We have now been homeschooling for eight years.
After a few years, I was asked to take a leadership role in our co-op. God had to push me a little into this role, because by nature I tend to prefer to be behind the scenes. I am now one of the head coordinators of our co-op and am so grateful to be a part of it. It is such a powerful group of families who love the Lord and want to build a strong academic and spiritual foundation for their children.
Thank you to Belinda LeBlanc for going above and beyond the call of duty and being a wonderful support group leader!
