After an Association member hand-delivered and then mailed notice of the withdrawal of her grandson in order to homeschool him, school officials continued to demand that she come to the school to complete forms. THSC sent a letter to educate a Texas deputy regarding truancy, home schooling, and Texas state law when the deputy threatened CPS involvement outside of his legal jurisdiction on allegations of truancy.
