The Teen Staff Program will be held on-site at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott.

Teens ages 13 – 18 are invited to participate in the Teen Staff Program (TSP), which is a mix of working essential Convention jobs, attending  entertaining and educational workshops, and participating in fun activities. Teens will be placed on teams. They will be encouraged to fellowship with their teammates and build leadership and teamwork skills throughout the Convention. Over the two days of the Convention, teams will rotate through a series of workshops, activities, and service jobs.  The TSP is a two-day commitment in which teens are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous manner. For the benefit of the TSP as a whole, teens who are disrespectful and/or uncooperative will be excused from the program.

Mandatory Staff Meeting & Orientation (Friday)

Peter Lambert, Teen Staff Director, will cover the guidelines of the program, give an overview of the service jobs to be performed, and impart the vision for teamwork, leadership, and a job well done.

Mandatory Staff Meeting & Feedback (Saturday)

Teen staff will be given the opportunity to share from the previous day’s experiences, ask questions, give feedback, and regroup.

Activities

If you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary, you’ll love our activities which will get your blood pumping and your creative juices flowing. Your team will work together throughout the Convention to get things done, and the activities will provide a fun break and time to build camaraderie among team members.

Service Jobs

You can look forward to a great time, but the Teen Staff program isn’t just fun and games. You’ll also have a chance to learn about leadership and responsibility first hand as you confront real challenges and help fill essential staff roles that are vital to the success of the Convention.

Workshops

Teens should not miss out! THSC is pleased for teens to enjoy presentations by founder and president of Answers in Genesis, Ken Ham! You will rotate through live and prerecorded sessions with Ken Ham as you learn about the authority of Scripture, how to defend your faith, and how to present the gospel to a secularized world.

2013 Gold Shirt Application

The Gold Shirt Application is available for teens who have participated in the Teen Staff Program before and would like even more responsibility. Gold Shirt applicants should be registered normally for the Teen Staff Program and will be advised in the summer if they were selected for a Gold Shirt position. Gold Shirt positions are limited.
