Free parking will be available as long as space lasts in the Town Center Parking Garage adjacent to the Convention Center. Additional parking will be available for a minimal rate in the East Garage in front of the Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center.

Stay on-site at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center at the special rate of $142 per night! To make reservations, click here or call (800) 262-1509 and mention the THSC Convention. This special rate is good July 28 – August 7, 2013, depending on availability. Reservations must be made by July 10, 2013 to get the special rate, but rates are only good while rooms are available. For best results, make reservations early. Cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance.

Attendees will get an iPad Mini Giveaway Ticket at Registration. Visit each of the vendors on the card to be entered in a raffle! A drawing will be conducted Saturday night (presence not required to win) and one lucky home school family will take home a new iPad Mini!   Attendees who complete a Convention survey after the event will be entered in another drawing for a second iPad Mini giveaway so yet another family will win!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Does my registration cover shopping and workshops?
Exhibit Hall admittance is included with standard adult, teen, and children’s program registrations. Attendees with standard registrations do not need to purchase a Shopping Only Pass to enjoy the Exhibit Hall.   Shopping Only passes include admittance into the Exhibit Hall only and do not include attendance at workshops.

Do I have to preregister for the specific workshops I want to attend?
No. Regular Adult Registration includes admittance into all workshops and the Exhibit Hall. All workshops are first come, first seated and will be open as long as space lasts. Some workshops will fill to the maximum. For best results, plan ahead and arrive early. Workshop recordings will be available for purchase on-site.

How do I volunteer?
Visit our volunteer page for information about volunteering in exchange for free registration or just to serve other families alongside THSC.

When/how will I get my Add-On tickets?
Pre-Registration and Early-Bird Registrants who register prior to June 15:

• Space Center Houston tickets will be post mailed to Early-Bird and Pre-Registered attendees on or before July 2.
• Field trip attendees will receive an email with field trip details and check in information.
• Links to complimentary coupons and discounts will be received in the attendee confirmation email sent immediately following Convention registration online.
• All other Add-On tickets will be included in your on-site packet when you check in.

Those who register online after June 15th can simply pick up their tickets at check in on-site.

When will the schedule of the Convention be posted?
Find the General Convention Schedule here. Scheduled workshops will be added to our Workshops page as they are available. Workshop times will be posted in July after THSC has compiled the attendee preferences and planned room assignments to best accommodate attendees.

Which adults may attend free?
One spouse or grandparent may attend free with the first General Adult Registration. You will need to register the “free” spouse or grandparent by checking the “After 1st Adult: One FREE Spouse or Grandparent” option on Step 2 of the registration form.

When do Space Center Houston tickets expire?
Space Center Houston tickets will not expire until January 2014.

What if I need to cancel my Convention registration?
We do not offer refunds, just as if you had purchased tickets to a concert or a ball game. However, you may transfer your registration to one other person or family member for a $10 fee until July 20. After July 19, no registrations may be transferred. If you wish to transfer your registration, please call THSC at (806) 744-4441, extension 0 with the credit card payment information and the name and contact information for the transferee available.

What if I am almost 14—can I still volunteer in the Children’s Program?
