Tim and Lyndsay
Lambert
Tim Lambert is
the president of the Texas Home School Coalition. He and his wife
Lyndsay each hold a degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock,
where they met. The Lamberts have been married and lived in
Lubbock for over 30 years. They have four adult children who all
graduated from their home school.
In 1986 Tim began
serving on the Advisory Board of the Texas Home School Coalition
Political Action Committee (THSC PAC), and in 1990 he was asked to
lead THSC, now an incorporated educational organization. In that
capacity, he speaks to various groups around Texas, helps inform
the public, legislators, and candidates about home education, and
trains home school leaders in public relations and political
activities. Tim, who holds a degree in political science, is
active in the political arena and is committed to serving the home
school community and protecting parents' right to choose the
education of their children.
Lyndsay has
assisted Tim in serving the home school community, first in
helping to start and lead their local support group and, since
1990, in running the Texas Home School Coalition. As director of
special projects for THSC, Lyndsay oversees special events, is the
editor of the Texas Home School Coalition Review, and
coordinates the publications of THSC. Her strongest desire,
however, is to encourage home school moms and support group
leaders in the work that they are doing.
