Home school student Liesl Lawrence,(from Georgetown), advanced to the National Bible Bee after competing on a local level in a Bible Bee hosted by Family Educators Alliance in South Texas (FEAST), the regional home school group in San Antonio. Six of those local Bee contestants, including Liesl, moved on to the national contest held in Chicago. Liesl then won the 2010 National Bible Bee senior division championship, taking home a trophy and the coveted prize of $100,000.
